SC.800 is an acid marker for marking by means of a dosed supply of acid to the metal surface. The etching of the metal occurs directly at the point where the tip of the marker has passed. A clear acid solution leaves black or gray lines on the metal. The SC.800 marker is a housing made of chemically resistant plastic for refilling with special cartridges in acid solution. Cartridge SC.862 (blue) is designed for permanent marking on low-carbon unalloyed and low-alloy structural steels, as well as on tool steel. Cartridge SC.865 (green) is designed for permanent marking on stainless steel, high-alloy and high-carbon steel, as well as for various alloys of copper, nickel, bronze and lead. The etching process can be stopped if necessary by a neutralizing liquid SC.871.
